USA and Global Warming

The approach of USA regarding global warming and climate change is little apathetic. It is not coming up on forum positively to accpet the norms set by the Kyoto Protocol. Most of the time USA claim that it is the country who is the champion of human rights. Even it go beyond that and say that they have given the human rights to the whole world by way of UDHR. But in reality when the issue of climate change which is affecting to developing countries specially to the islands, it is not taking this issue on the board to discuss and resolve. Even they are not coming to accept the norms set by Kyoto Protocol. In such situation the claim made by the USA that they are the champion of the human right is apparently faked exercise.

  1. I absolutly agree with your point, but before looking into USA stand on climate issue you must have consider how far kyoto protocol is successful in curbig the problem. it is not only USA but almost all nations are hesitating to submit themselves to the protocol. it is high time to address the issue not only at international perspective, but i think every nation must formulate their own norms and regulation to address the issue. if every country succeeds in addressing the issue, definitly in the future it will have an impact on others thereby we could pressurize them to take positive steps. it can be done only by people's support and committment.
One thing to be noted is that, USA is not a party to many other conventions of utmost importance.
